Very succinct layout and flow with practical examples and helpful comparisons with/against the medical model. I try to incorporate functional goals with all of my patients, but this helped me realize how much and in what ways I still lean toward the medical model. I feel that I now have very clear direction in truly shifting toward person-centered care. A big thanks to the presenter!

Have watched this course, as a follow up to another course by this presenter. Though it was an introductory level class, it really helped me put into words the information that I can present to my students regarding patient centered approach. Often times, I feel as though my students feel PCA hard to grasp until they are performing it. I have printed out portions of this handout to structure a better framework to present to my students on patient centered approaches. Thank you!

I understand it was a basic course in providing an overview, but I have no idea of how I would implement this program unless the person had higher level deficits. Seems as if many steps are missed. Most family members are not present and most patients are unaware of their deficits and unable to communicate at a higher level. Seems as if we are jumping to the higher level deficits without addressing the fundamental deficits. Also, most SNF's use Optima or Casamba, so how do I complete the specifics of the assessment report if I did not accurately assess those areas.
