Discussion includes standardized measurement tools used in swallow study interpretation and key features that support accurate analysis and clinical recommendations. The course also emphasizes effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary team members who rely on these reports.

Carolyn Abraham, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S, CLT is a Board-Certified Swallowing Specialist working in Outpatient Rehabilitation at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. She integrates evidence-based practice and advanced therapeutic techniques to treat oropharyngeal dysphagia and communication impairment associated with a wide variety of conditions. Her primary areas of expertise include complex swallowing and speech disorders related to head and neck cancer, cancer and cancer treatments, surgical procedures (e.g., lung transplant recipients), and neurological conditions. She has mentored numerous graduate student clinicians and has presented at state and national conferences.
