This information is right on! All she said was so true. Working with children with all these issues is very difficult but like she said stay in your slp lane and work on the goals but also keep your ears and eyes open for the whole child! They come with lots of baggage.

I learned so much from this course. Jessica Walker demonstrated how SLPs, through their scope of practice as well as working in collaboration with mental health professionals, can support students with their mental health. I also loved learning about dialectics and DBT-A. She is a dynamic speaker and had a great deal of important information to share. So nice of her to create posters and pass them on for others to use.
