This course is actually providing future framework to differentiate between ADHD (without the hyperactivity) and CDS and give a clearer explanation as to why CDS varies from ADHD (without hyperactivity) and how to accommodate those students who display inward distractions.

The presenter had great research findings and supported them with excellent examples via case studies, quotes from research and professionals in this area of research, as well as tools she has implemented in her own therapies with students. I enjoyed how she kept the information moving and did not have a lot of repetitive 'um' and 'like' throughout like some of the younger presenters. I especially like how she addressed how she would work elementary students and more advanced ones.

This course touches on something that, as an SLP, I see constantly at school. Students with CDS are often referred for language testing only to find their abilities are well within normal limits. This course brings awareness to something that seems to be increasingly prevalent in the pediatric population.
