This was a very pleasant and functional presentation for understanding speech and language development issues related to Down syndrome. The Therapy interventions and suggestions were refreshing. Its so great to see such personable touches for ST Therapy which advance clients from just repeating information to actually learning and using language to interact; understand; and communicate with deeper levels of social communication! Great work!

I appreciated the presenter's experience and obvious love for her work. This was a review for me, as I haven't worked with clients with Down Syndrome for some time, and I am pleased to see that current literature indicates that progress in both speech and language can continue with a ceiling. The information gleaned from this session could empower SLPs to discuss the need for ocntinued interventions for young adults.
