- Assess, identify, and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with school, state, and federal guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and parent conferences.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and compliance records.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals and interventions as needed.
- Support students in accessing the general education curriculum by improving communication skills.
- Provide classroom-based interventions and strategies to enhance language development.
- Train and guide teachers and staff on effective communication strategies and accommodations.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and school district policies.
- Manage caseloads effectively and prioritize services based on student needs.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and assistive technology when appropriate.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities.
