SCHEDULE: 37.5 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, following the EI Preschool Staff Calendar
SALARY: Professional employees follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement with pay based on education and experience starting at $53,947.00
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The CAIU Early Intervention Program is seeking a highly-motivated speech-language pathologist to work in varied settings with eligible preschool-age children. The CAIU covers Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, and Northern York counties. Environments may include early childhood special education classrooms and community early childhood environments (daycares/preschools/Head Start/Pre-K Counts/homes).
This position will provide speech therapy duties in early childhood special education classrooms and also in daycares and preschool programs in primarily Dauphin County with some time spent possibly in Cumberland or Perry County. Work hours are 8 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, following the CAIU EI Staff Calendar. This position reports to the EI Preschool Program Speech/Language Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in speech-language pathology required; PDE Instructional I or II certificate Speech Correction PK-12 or Educational Specialist-Speech/Language Pathology certificate required; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred, Full certification in Safe Crisis Management (SCM), Safety Care, or other restraint management system as required by the assignment (the training will be provided by the CAIU).
