Speech & Language Pathologist - Acute - (SLP)

Licensure/Certifications: Licensed Speech Pathologist
Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years’ in the field; Needs swallowing experience (bedside); we use Meditech for our EMR (Easy to learn)
Other Helpful or Misc. Information:  Some weekend day(s) are possible. Up to 2 days a month. Great staff, fun environment, you will want to stay! Wichita is a great place, fun night life, great restaurants, etc.
· Patient Ratios— most of our SLP’s do 3-4 Evals a day and up to 8 treats; staff wear Hunter Green Scrubs
· Type of equipment— FEE’s
· List of typical procedures:
§  Cog Evals, Swallow Evals
§  Modified Barium Swallow exams

This facility recently opened a children’s hospital, which is the only dedicated pediatric hospital in the region. This not-for-profit facility just went through a $36 million-dollar renovation to continue its ability to fulfill its commitment to the community’s healthcare needs. The emergency service includes a Level I trauma center and Level II pediatric center. This facility sees 24,000 patients annually.
