We live in Shanghai. I am American, my wife Chinese and our two children are bi-lingual: one boy (5) and one girl (3). Our son has an expressive language delay, with this confirmed by The Lurie Center (ASD ruled out; cognitive development appears average/above average). He attends a bi-lingual Kindergarden in Shanghai.
We are looking for a qualified SPL to live with us in Shanghai (we have a large apartment with a spare bedroom/bathroom) and provide our son daily SPL sessions (1-2 hours/day), and (perhaps) attend school with him an an aide. For the past ~1 year he has attended 2x/week SPL sessions -- but we would like to stage an intervention and up the intensity/tempo.
Zach is kind hearted and happy boy -- and loves SPL. He is eager to learn and delights in 1x1 attention. We're looking for someone to help us help him find his words! Our family is pretty easy going, and we just want the best for our little boy. Shanghai is a pretty cool city, and a great place to spend several months!
Happy to discuss terms/requirements and roles/responsibilties. Conceptually this job could start end-Feb and go through mid-June (and perhaps continue throgh summer back in the USA). Salary et cetera open to discussion.
