Speech/Myofunctional Therapy Carryover and Childcare

Looking to connect a Sunnyvale family with someone with a background in speech-language pathology, myofunctional therapy, and/or early child development. 

The family has a 4-year-old child receiving weekly speech/language/myofunctional therapy and is looking for one or more people to help with after-school care and therapy carryover. This is a unique opportunity to gain real world experience implementing therapist-recommended strategies in a fun, home-based setting - ideal for those building a resume.

Part time or Full Time
This role can be part time (3pm - 7pm on weekdays) or full time with benefits.

Role May Include (Weekday Afternoons):

• School pickup (~3:00 PM)
• Transport to therapy and activities after school
• Supporting the child during extracurricular activities (e.g., kung fu)
• Lunch/Dinner supervision
• Reinforcing therapist-recommended strategies in a fun, age-appropriate way

Who You Are:

• Either a recently graduated student or a professional with a background in SLP and/or Early Childhood Education
• Reliable, patient, and energetic.
• Have a valid driver’s license, a safe vehicle, and a clean driving record.
• Willing to learn and follow therapist guidance

Note: This is a supportive care role, not a clinical therapy position; licensure is not required.

Compensation:

• $35 - $50/hour (depending on schooling and experience).
• Flexibility is a plus; we are open to splitting the week between multiple people, but also can hire someone full time with benefits
