Many children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) make substantial progress with early intervention, yet may continue to demonstrate ongoing and residual speech challenges after they begin elementary school. This course describes challenges often observed in school-age children with a history of CAS and offers recommendations for addressing ongoing challenges related to prosody, complex phoneme sequences, phoneme and syllable omissions, voicing errors, and generalization.
