Neuroplasticity principles are well-established and can inform rehabilitation practices. Traditionally, rehabilitation services have focused on the acute and subacute phases of recovery; however, there is clear evidence that individuals can continue to recover function long into the chronic phase. This course will present ideas for tapping into the power of neuroplasticity to support individuals with chronic neurogenic cognitive-communication disorders across the continuum of care, including recommendations for advocacy to promote service delivery and access.
