Pearson's EBP Briefs are case-based courses designed to assist with everyday decision-making in clinical practice. This case will examine the clinical question, “Do school-age children receiving treatment for speech, language, and/or communication disorders show equivalent benefit from telepractice-based intervention as from on-site intervention as shown by comparable improvement inspeech, language, and communication skills across the two treatment platforms?” The related literature search and analysis, along with the resultant clinical decision and application to clinical practice, will also be discussed. A relevant assessment tool for this case is the PPVT-4 (Dunn & Dunn, 2007)

Johanna Rudolph is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders. Her primary research interests include early identification and intervention for children with speech and language disorders.
