Truthfully, I found this course very difficult. I took part 2, and did not realize I skipped part 1 until part-way through. Some of the terms used were terms I had not used for some time (as I have worked with adults and NV children for the past 4 years). This course required me to review articulation terms, and phonological processes. It was a great review, just a challenge for someone who felt as if they had not seen this material in quite some time!

The information and examples provided were very practical and can be directly applied into real practice with children immediately. I really appreciated the video and case study examples as well as the breakdown of the assessment, goal selection and treatment layout process. The test was also helpful in reinforcing appropriate target choices for children with phonological deviations.

I love her direct, but warm, manner in which she shares and just love taking the courses she presents. There is SO much wealth of knowledge that it is a little difficult to keep up sometimes, but that is what a "pause" button is for :)

Dr. Hodson is an expert and pioneer in the field of phonological deviations. I appreciated her expert advice and clinical techniques to work with children. I realized that I need to further review her two courses and books to re-acquaint myself with the information. I enjoyed the case study presented in the video. I am primarily a geriatric SLP. However I worked in the schools for 6 years awhile back. In the case of phonology, I need to become more familiar since I am planning to return to the school or clinic setting with pediatric clients.
