Dr. Amee Shah is a Professor of Health Science and Director of the Cross-Cultural Speech, Language, and Acoustics Lab at Stockton University in New Jersey. She is an ASHA-Award-winning Speech-Language Pathologist, a leader and pioneer in Evidence-based Accent Management and Medical Communication. Dr. Shah has developed successful programs of cross-cultural communication, accent management, accent listening, and diversity training for executives, medical professionals, corporate employees, Police and First Responders, and university clinics. She is the author of the widely used, peer-reviewed, ASHA-recognized assessment framework and test battery, the Comprehensive Assessment of Accentedness and Intelligibility (CAAI), which is used nationally and internationally and has trained hundreds of registered practitioners and university clinics in this protocol. Dr. Shah is passionate about bringing the best scientific evidence from speech science and psychology into clinical practice to design, implement, and assess the outcomes of programs that help diverse individuals, as well as train clinicians and students in best practices.
