Dr. Roseberry-McKibbin addressed an issue that I have struggled with repeatedly: how to assess English Learners in the absence of appropriate standardized tests. She spelled out the alternative routes to take in that situation. I appreciated learning that certain milestones of language development are met by typically developing children the world over. It was helpful to see the table of universal indicators of language impairment. This was very well done.
