I learned a lot more about how to incorporate emotions into my therapy sessions. I will be using in my session when a client gets excited, therapist then says " I can see you're excited! Your eyes are Wide and your mouth is open!" love that !!!

The course content is applicable to a growing number of situations that manifest for a wide variety of reasons; so, the support of how to contribute to the social-emotional stability and interactions of children - and adults - is, in my opinion, imperative. I also began addressing this issue many years ago in my speech therapy sessions and included in the children's IEP goals strategies for incorporating socially appropriate language - verbal and non-verbal - within goals that also supported their diagnosed areas of academic need. The presenter's calm and easy voice, rate of speech and manner of presentation enhanced my ability and desire to focus and attend throughout the presentation, which also facilitated comprehension of the concepts presented. The strategies and resources provided were also much appreciated.

All the resources and concrete examples make this course worthwhile. I work with a variety of ages every day and almost every kid on my caseload could benefit from simple step-by-step learning and strategies related to such an abstract concept (emotions). I can't wait to access some of these website and give resources to the teacher of our preschool academy program.
