This is a topic that I thought would be interesting. It was very enlightening to all the information needed to work in the PICU, as well as other skills needed. I am trying to complete CEUs in areas of interest to me to see if I might want to try a new "adventure." I am currently retired so am considering different areas of service from my previous experience in the schools.

The course, content and knowledge of the speaker were excellent. The timing for the screens presented did not always match what was being discussed, and this became worse as the presentation continued. At one point the screen was blank. I could not tell if this was a problem with the presentation or with my internet, but it made it difficult to follow at times.

It's fascinating, does a great job of presenting facts regarding normal infant swallowing, what to expect in the NICU and what you need to know/do to be able to successfully work in the NICU setting. Motivates me because CLEARLY these therapists, if they're good, make a lifelong impact on these children and their families. Having had a child in the NICU myself, it all really hits home and I know how important it is to these parents to have crackerjack medical teams.

I absolutely love this presenter......she was 'understandable' without using terminology that was difficult for a speech pathologist such as myself who has no experience in this area of intervention. One could easily relate and be confident that her primary goal was for the SLP to learn. Even if I never work in this area, it was a course that gave me insight and knowledge. Also her test was not to trip one up or cause confusion as others tend to do. Thank you!
