Pearson's EBP Briefs are case-based courses designed to assist with using evidence-based practice (EBP) in everyday clinical decision-making. This case will examine the clinical question, “In people with aphasia following stroke, is group therapy more effective compared to individual therapy or no therapy on communication outcome measures reflecting impairment, activity, and/or participation levels?” The related literature search and analysis, along with the resultant clinical decision and application to clinical practice, will also be discussed. A relevant assessment tool for this case is Western Aphasia Battery-Revised.
