That she gave a lot of resources and examples. That she dismissed the need for a hierarchy when working with pictures & objects. I am glad she gave many alternative programs that the 2 that seem to corner the market on a lot of AAC materials. I like that she discussed the need for sequencing, core vocabulary and fringe vocabulary. I like that she included the emphasis that understanding is the goal and that paper and pen may suffice. I also liked knowing that a child needs to be able to activate a switch 200 times for it to become a functional part of their daily lives.
