Course Abstract

This course will discuss interpretation of the scores on PLS-5, including the new growth scale values. Changes in content and item developmental placements from PLS-4 to PLS-5 as well as and PLS-4/PLS-5 retests will be discussed.

it addressed the problem of agencies using percent delay with age equivalency. (I never hear anyone speak to this) I work with early start and they did not realize the inappropriateness of using age equivalency to determine percent delay. However, the manual did not permit me to copy the information to share with them further, due to copyright.

Nancy Castilleja, M.A., CCC-SLP

Nancy Castilleja is Senior Product Manager for Speech and Language products at Pearson Assessment. Prior to this role, Nancy developed many assessments with The Psychological Corporation and Harcourt Assessment, including PLS English and Spanish editions, Boehm-3, and CELF-4 Spanish. Nancy has 8 years of clinical experience working with infants, school-age children, adolescents, and adults in school and community settings. She has presented at many state and national conferences on early childhood assessment and bilingual assessment issues. Nancy is an employee if Pearson Assessment who publishes the PLS-5.
