Given the growth in the number of older adults in the U.S., the high prevalence of dementia in this population, and the negative impact of dementia on cognitive-communication abilities, the home health SLP must learn to develop functional, realistic and attainable goals that meet the strict reimbursement criteria set forth by Medicare. This course will provide an overview of documentation necessities for the home health SLP, along with goal examples and case studies to better insure strong documentation of sessions and reimbursement for services.
