TBI: An Update on Assessment and TreatmentCourse: #5232 1 Hour
This course will provide an update on the current recommendations for the rehabilitation of cognitive-communication disorders that are a result of traumatic brain injury. The course will most specifically focus on assessment and treatment for young adults and adults that have experienced a moderate-severe TBI.
- After this course, participants will be able to list recommended current assessment batteries for use with young adults/adults with cognitive-communication deficits after TBI.
- After this course, participants will be able to describe current recommendations for interventions from both the bottom-up (body function) and top-down (participation) level for use with young adults/adults with cognitive-communication deficits after TBI.
- After this course, participants will be able to list resources that can be used in clinical practice that will support their evidenced-based decision-making for use with young adults/adults with cognitive-communication deficits after TBI.
